With Gratitude to Wendy

“As many of you know, I sold Barn Yoga to Adriana one year ago. Since that time, she has gracefully shepherded the studio through the move to a lovely, dedicated studio space and a rebranding as CURA Yoga Center. She has maintained the high quality of the Kaiut Yoga classes while at the same time putting her own unique stamp on the business by offering other healing modalities, including Reiki and sound healing, creating a true wellness center.

With Adriana assuming ownership, it has been a good year for me of simply teaching yoga without having to run the show. But my inner listening has taken me to the place where I feel that it is time for me to step away altogether from my teaching role at CURA Yoga Center. I say that with a true mix of emotions, but I say it nonetheless. As of the end of January, I will be leaving CURA Yoga Center.

Quite honestly, I don’t know what will be coming next, but my cover story will be that I am on a sabbatical which will involve some travel to warmer climates, volunteer work at Emergency Family Assistance Association (www.efaa.org), spending more time with my family and friends, more time in quiet contemplation/meditation and, of course, more time in my own personal practice of Kaiut Yoga. It could be that my journey will lead me full circle back into teaching Kaiut Yoga in some manner, but for now, it is time for the “ebb” of this “ebb and flow” journey.

To say that I will miss being with you in class would be a huge understatement. If you are local, and perhaps even if you are not, I do hope our paths will continue to cross. Feel free to stay in touch with me at wzerin@gmail.com and/or add me as a friend on Facebook. (Sorry, I don’t do Instagram. X, TikTok, etc.; that’s more social media than I can handle.)
As I close this chapter and make way for the next one, it brings me great satisfaction to know that the seeds that were planted at Kelly Barn back in 2017 have not only survived but thrived. And that is because of you. Without students, there is no yoga studio. Thank you so very much for continuing to come to your mat. Wishing for you great benefit from your yoga practice for many years to come.”

Thank you Wendy!
