Most of our yoga sessions are offered both in person and online via Zoom, allowing your practice to shift with you—wherever you are!
How do I get into an online class?
- From your laptop, tablet or smart phone, go to the Class Schedule page on our website and click on the class you would like to attend to make a reservation.
- All students who have made reservations will receive an email 10-15 minutes before the start of class which will include the link and password for the online class.
- Click on the link in the email, enter the password provided and the online class will open on your screen. (Note: You may receive a prompt to download the Zoom app first before opening the class on your screen. You are encouraged to download the app for a better Zoom experience.) Be sure to open the class on your device at least 10-15 minutes before class with time to set up your camera so the teacher can see you and so you can settle in before class.
- That’s it!
How Can I Adapt Equipment?
Many household items can easily be used as equipment. Here are some ideas for equipment at home as well as links to trusted sites where yoga equipment can be purchased. The email you receive 10-15 minutes before class will include information about what equipment is needed for the class you will be attending as well as how to set up your mat, e.g., at the wall, etc.
How do I set up at home for class?

If you have a yoga mat, please set it up with the narrow edge of your mat next to a wall. If you don’t have a mat, just set up on a carpeted area near a wall. Make sure you have room to extend your body fully on your mat/on the floor without bumping into any furniture/walls, etc.
You can access the class using any device which has a camera, e.g., a computer, tablet or smart phone. The camera is primarily for the teacher to be able to see you. Most of the time it will not be necessary for you to see the teacher as you will be listening to the teacher, often with your eyes closed.
It is best to position your camera slightly elevated, e.g. on a chair or table about four to six feet in front of the narrow edge of your mat and off to the side with your camera pointing diagonally toward either the right or the left front corner of your mat (See photo). If you don’t have enough room in your home practice area to set up with your camera as in the photo, the teacher can assist you in finding another camera angle before class.
